Funeral services for Betty Hernandez, 84, will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, in West Monroe, Louisiana.  Bro. Dale Mercer will officiate.  Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Choudrant, Louisiana, under the care and direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes, West Monroe.  Visitation will be held from 5:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., Friday, September 20, 2024, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Betty Hernandez was born on January 25, 1940, in West Monroe, Louisiana and passed away on September 17, 2024, in Mansfield, Texas.  Betty had a beautiful smile that would light up a room.   Betty was a loving, kind and selfless person.  She had a servant’s heart and valued God and family.  Betty was a member of Peniel Baptist Church.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Mike Hernandez; great-grandson, Elijah Johnson; parents, Frank and Edna Williamson; siblings, Bernice, Archie, Louise, Jeanette, Lee, Ann, Gail, and Lavelle.

Betty is survived by her children, Michael Hernandez and wife Patti, Rhonda Goffinet and husband Andrew, Sandra Myers and husband Casey, Shane Hernandez and wife Tonya, and Sheryl Benton and husband, Buddy; sister, Syble Rea; grandchildren, Joshua, Jamie, Leslie, Alexandra, Slade, JuliAnne, Paul, Alonna, Jonny, Chavela, and AnaLeah; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; along with extended family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Michael, Joshua, Slade, Paul, Jonny, Casey, Buddy, and Drew.
