Funeral services for Bertie T. Foster, 97 of Eros, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, May 1, 2015 at Lapine Assembly of God with Bro. Gene Benson and Bro. Lemuel Baugh officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.Mrs. Foster was born August 17, 1917 in Sikes, LA and passed away April 28, 2015 in Columbia, LA. She was a member of Lapine Assembly of God. Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her husband, William Jesse Foster; her sons, J.B. Foster and William Glyn Foster; grandsons, David Harold Finley, Mark Alan Griffin, Dennis Foster; sisters, Thelma Dell and Mildred Tisdale; brothers, Jesse Tisdale and James Tisdale.Mrs. Foster is survived by her daughters; Faye F. Butler (Jack), Patsy F. Alford (Dayton Squeaky), Rebecca F. Williams (Davis), and Margaret F. Porter (Ronnie); brother, David E. Tisdale; sisters, Ella Mae Bailey and Elaine T. Purcell; 9 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandson; number of nieces and nephews.Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers include Jimmy, Daniel, and Dean Bailey, Doug Foster and Ken Tisdale.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Lapine Assembly of God Building Fund.Visitation will be held Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
