Funeral services for Benson Clayton Brashier, 84, of Downsville, LA will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 30, 2024, at Holmesville Baptist Church in Downsville, LA. with Bro. Ricky Houck officiating the service.  Interment will follow in the Holmesville Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Farmerville, LA.

A visitation for family and friends will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Sunday, September 29, 2024, at Holmesville Baptist Church in Downsville, LA.

Clayton was born August 30, 1940, in Downsville, LA and passed away September 27, 2024, at his residence.  He was a lifelong member of Holmesville Baptist Church in Downsville, LA and was married for 59 years to Derllie Anne Brashier. Clayton retired in 1999 after 33 years as Deputy Chief for Monroe Fire Dept.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Carroll Brashier and Chloe Cordelia Brashier, and a brother, Carlton Brashier.

Clayton is survived by his wife of 59 years Anne Brashier of Downsville, LA; children, Kimberly Brashier, Kelly Kennedy and Stacey Kennedy, Jay Brashier, Krista Brashier; grandchildren, Jared Cruse, Kirstin Gilpin, Ashley Rappazzo, Corey Kennedy, Connor Brashier; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Grover Gayle Brashier, and several nieces and nephews,

Pallbearers will be Lamar Hancock, John Cox, Bob Tom Riser, Dustin Hancock, Jared Cruse, Corey Kennedy; honorary pallbearers will be Butch Pardue, Ralph Provost, and Larry Long.
