Memorial services for Rebecca Anne Bunn will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, February 26, 2022, at Kilpatrick’s Funeral Home chapel in Ruston with Dale Oden and Charles Headrick officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm and continue until service time. Burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery in Eros, Louisiana.

Becky was born December 11, 1978, in Monroe, Louisiana and passed away February 23, 2022, in Ruston following a brief illness. Becky loved books, Beethoven, camping, and bird watching – and had become a gifted photographer. She leaves behind many stunning photos of birds and other wildlife as part of her legacy. She loved animals, most of all – her little poodle, Charlie.

Becky was a 1996 honors graduate of Ruston High School and graduated with highest honors from Louisiana Tech University in 2001 with a B.S. in Molecular Biology and Medical Technology. Her minors were in Chemistry and Microbiology. Becky was employed as a Medical Technologist and Clinical Laboratory Scientist at Northern Louisiana Medical Center.

Becky is preceded in death by her mother, Juanita Sanders Bunn; paternal grandparents, Theoda and Lois Bunn; and maternal grandparents Wendell and Mable Sanders. She is also preceded in death by her beloved poodle, Honey Bunn.

Becky is survived by her father, Wayne Bunn; sisters, Sandy Bunn Lassiter and Jennifer Bunn; niece, Grace Elizabeth Lassiter; and nephew, Matthew Sanders Lassiter. She will also be missed by her poodle companion, Charlie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Louisiana Ornithological Society, National Audubon Society, or Salem Cemetery fund (Chatham, Louisiana).
