Services are under the direction and care of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
Bazzle (Junior) was born August 6, 1937, in Gillett, AR and passed away on February 18, 2022, at the age of 84. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years during the Korean Conflict and was a retired deputy with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff Department for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Bazzle and Ethel Perritt and was the last surviving child of 13 children.
Papaw and Daddy, which he loved answering to both, was a jack of all trades. He could fix just about anything and had no idea what the word “No” meant. He was always ready to help when someone needed it. If you did not ask him to help, he would get his feelings hurt.
Bazzle is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Gracie Williams Perritt; 2 sons, Berney and his wife, Sandra of Calhoun, LA and Ernie and his wife, Rhonda of Eros, LA; three cherished grandchildren, Malea Zuber “who he loved like a daughter”, and her husband, Regan of Calhoun, LA, Cody Perritt “his special grandson that he loved teaching the many things he wanted him to know” of Eros, LA and Shonna Dumas Hart “that captured his heart when she came into his life at three years old” and her husband, Jeff of Canton, TX; 4 great grandchildren, Jaycee Kate and Presley Grace Zuber “his special twin girls that could get him to go along with anything they wanted to do” and his Texas great-grands, Alexis Hart and Jeffery Hart. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many long time friends.
Honoring Bazzle as pallbearers will be Jason George, Brad McNeely, Marc Mashaw, Bobby Fowler, Wayne Murray and Ross Armstrong.
Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Murray, George Zeigler, Billy Wilhite, Herlond Antley, Joe Murray, Scott Smith and Ray Coker.
Many thanks to St. Francis Specialty Hospital and Jill Zuber for taking such great care of our husband, daddy, and papaw during his illness – y’all are the best.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
