Funeral services for Barbara Gibbs Causey, 85, of Farmerville LA, will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Farmerville United Methodist Church in Farmerville, LA. Officiating the service will be Rev. Hank Hamilton and Rev. Johnny Hankins. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ruston, LA under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Barbara was born on January 18, 1933 in Minden, LA and passed away on September 29, 2018 in Farmerville, LA. She was a member of the Farmerville United Methodist Church and was involved with the Methodist Women Association, Union General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, and was the 1972 Grand Champion at the Ruston Peach Festival for her peach cobbler. Preceding her in death were her parents Martin and Vera Gibbs, sisters Betty Vittitoe and Georgia Gibbs Stahl Knight. Barbara graduated with a B.S. from Louisiana Tech. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Survivors include her husband of 63 years Charles Causey of Farmerville, LA; sons, Ed Causey of Ruston, LA; Neal Causey of Farmerville, LA; Jerry Causey and wife Janet of Slidell, LA; grandchildren, Joe Don Causey, Christopher Causey and wife Cristy, and Tim Causey and his wife Kayla; great grandchildren; Evan Causey, Julian Causey and Adelaide Causey, sisters, Mary OSteen (Dwayne), Margaret Moore (Jack) and Linda Daniels (Art).
