Funeral services for Audrey Pauline Barnes Tisdale, 82, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, December 31, 2011 in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Reverend Terry Mims and Reverend Tom McCurley will be officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Audrey was born November 7, 1929 in Calhoun, LA and passed away December 28, 2011. She was married to David E. Tisdale on September 16, 1950. Mrs. Tisdale loved her family most of all, then singing, playing the piano, and cooking. Audrey sang in church choirs for 52 years and was also a member of the Greater Ouachita Lions Club for 17 years, helping with multiple community service projects in our area. She received 'Lion of the Year' twice for her outstanding contributions therein. Mrs. Tisdale was preceded in death by her parents, Q. L. and Mae Barnes; brothers Q. L. Jr., Johnny P., and Irvin Barnes; and sister Betty Fae Creed. Survivors include her loving husband David E. Tisdale; son David Scott Tisdale; granddaughter Melissa Tisdale Beinkemper; grandson-in-law James Howard Beinkemper; brother Kelly Barnes from West Monroe; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews; and friends. Pallbearers include son David Scott Tisdale; nephews Jimmy Bailey, Daniel Bailey, Dean Bailey, Ken Tisdale; and Herbert Barefoot, neighbor and friend. Visitation will be held Friday, December 30, 2011, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
