Funeral services for Arvin “Roscoe” McGough, 101, of Farmerville, LA will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Kilpatrick Funeral Homes Chapel in Farmerville, LA with Terry Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Hill/Taylor Cemetery in Farmerville under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of Farmerville, LA.

A Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. until service time in the Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel.

Roscoe was born on April 23, 1923, and passed away August 3, 2024. He was a member of the Church of Christ; served in the U. S. Army; and was a Veteran of WWII.

Roscoe worked on pipelines and oil rigs most of his life until he retired at the age of 62. He then enjoyed his favorite pastimes, fishing, cooking, and baseball games. He loved the Yankees and could talk for hours about them. Roscoe enjoyed talking to anyone who was willing to listen about any subject!

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Emmett McGough, Jr., Marie Tims, and Jean Tucker.

Roscoe is survived by his wife of 71 years, Katie Mae McGough of Union Parish; daughter, Judy Goodwin of Rocky Branch; sons, Lanny McGough and wife Terry of West Monroe, LA and Randy McGough of Sterlington, LA; four grandchildren, Ian, Shawn, Chelsey, and Morgan; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ian McGough, Shawn Howard, Jamie Thomas, Blake Johnstone, Brian Johnstone, and Ken Gibson.
