Funeral services for Arthur Lee Haley, Sr., 89, of West Monroe will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 7, 2011 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Brother Billy Taylor will officiate. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick Serenity Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mr. Haley was born on September 23, 1922 and passed away November 4, 2011. He was a retired construction painter. He served in the US Army during WWII and participated in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of West Monroe Masonic Lodge #419, Barak Shrine and Scottish Rite. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Lela Haley; spouse, Gerry Haley; brothers, Kevlin Haley and Marcus Haley; sisters, Betty Joe Haley and Millie Dean; and brother-in-law, J. J. May. He is survived by sons, Albo Haley and wife Cathy and Joe Haley and wife Barbara all of West Monroe; grandson, Todd Haley and wife Kalenna, great-granddaughter Kara Haley, and great-grandson Evan Haley all of Haynesville, LA; and four sisters, Pearlie May, Jeanette Harrell, Nita Buckelew, and Sandy Whittington of West Monroe; numerous nephews and nieces, and special niece, Amy Alexander. Pallbearers will be great nephews: Blake Davis, Jacob Davis, Zach Morris, Chris Woodall, Coty Woodall, and Robbie Woodall. Honorary pallbearers will be Buster Whittington, Bob Harrell, and “Buck” Buckelew.
