Arthur Joe Bradford, Sr.
January 15, 1935 to December 29, 2021
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Arthur Joe Bradford, Sr. He was born to George and Susie Bradford in Archibald, Louisiana. In 1954, he met the love of his life, Jo Alice McCurry. After a brief courtship they married and shared 67 years together, showing what true love and dedication really mean. He was a man with a strong faith and a life time member of the Archibald Church of Christ. He was a hard worker having done everything from driving trucks and welding to holding various positions and retiring from E. A. Conway Hospital in Monroe, Louisiana.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jo Alice and children: Rhonda (Kenneth) Russ; A. J Bradford, Jr. and Robin Bradford. He will also be missed by his six grandchildren: Amanda (Jason) Clark, Kenny (Miranda) Russ, Joe and Charlotte, Alicia and Richard. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his many relatives, friends and fellow church members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings, his oldest daughter Rita and four great grandchildren.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to Brayden and Conner Clark (great grandsons) for the numerous visits which he cherished. We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Colonial Manor Nursing Home and Caring Hands Hospice for the outstanding care that our father received. Also thanks for all the support and prayers from friends and family.
There will be a private family graveside service on Sunday, January 2nd, 2022 at Gwin Memorial Cemetery in Mangham, Louisiana.
