When Thelma married Arby, I gained another good friend. He always made me feel as much at home as Thelma did. I'm so happy that they got a chance to enjoy life together before both of them fell ill.It tickled me that after knowing Thelma for over 50 years, he still asked her daughter for permission to court and marry Thelma. We laughed about this many times and he just took it in stride. What a gentlemen and kind man Arby was to all of us. He will be greatly missed.

I was sorry to learn of Arby's passing. He was a good friend and I wished that we had maintained the friendship over the years. I have many memories of Arby and our years in Delhi. He always had a fondness for cars and I see that he was a member of a car club. One car that I remember him having was a 40's or early 50's Crosley that he painted a bright yellow and he cut the top out of it to make into a convertible. One day we were riding down an oilfield road which in the old days they sprayed with oil. At some point he gunned the engine, as much as you could gun a Crosley engine, and we must have spun around two or three times--it was scary at the time but we talked about doing it again but we never did. I know he will be missed. James H. Jarratt.

Arby was the best! Nicest man anyone could ever have known. He was deeply loved and will be missed but always remembered! May he now rest in peace with his true love. God Bless!
Peace of mind is a call away. We're here when you need us most.
