A visitation and celebration of her life will be held for her from 11:00 till noon, Monday November 18, 2024, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in West Monroe, Louisiana. The service will follow the visitation. Don Delukie will be officiating. Anna was born in a small coal mining town in the mountains of Yancy, Kentucky and raised near Carbon Hill, Alabama. She and her husband Raymond moved to West Monroe, Louisiana in 1969 where she taught at Crosley Elementary and Ridgedale Academy. A life-long teacher and devoted wife, Anna touched so many children’s lives over the years. In addition to raising 3 sons and half of the neighborhood boys, she taught in public and private schools in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. Anna was a diehard Astro’s fan and loved watching LSU baseball. She knew all the back stories on the players and their hometowns. Anna was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Raymond L Williams, who passed in May 2022; her father, Joe Bailey Hamilton; and her mother, Inez Hamilton.
Anna is survived by her 3 sons and their families, Ray Williams Jr. (Missy) and grand-children Sarah Haggard (John) and Hannah Williams, Steve Williams (Bridget) and grand-children Bailey Williams and Aniston Williams, Jeff Williams (Michelle) and grand-children Rayne West and Piper West.
