So many fond memories of Ann and Doc Garrett all the back to my childhood. Remember when they were on PolK Avenue and walking from my house, to visit them. James would always take me to the back to pet the dogs that were boarded. Good people and good memories. My condolences to you all. M J

Mrs. Ann was such an influential person in the lives of countless kids, and her forest of friends. That smile ... that laugh ... so encouraging ... she surely laughed at us and we know she laughed with us. One of the greatest blessings of growing up in Jonesboro was knowing the Garretts. That connection never ceases. I am sorry for her loss but grateful for her life, and those she loved the most. My prayers for comfort are with you.

As I sit and write this, I can only think of happy memories from times spent with Charles and Ann Garrett. All of the Christmas Eve visits, the vet visits, my mom and Ann having coffee while we played, and the memories they shared with me after my parents died were such wonderful moments in my life. I am so very sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a sweet, beautiful, and wonderful woman! I know that she is in Heaven with your dad now, and one day soon they will be visiting my mom and dad for a cup of coffee to catch up. My thoughts and prayers are with you all! If I can do anything at all to help make this time a little easier to bare, please don't hesitate to let me know. RIP Ann Garrett.

Keeping the entire Garrett family in our prayers now and in the weeks ahead. Both of your parents were two of the most kind-hearted, generous people in Jackson Parish. The Garrett siblings carry on that great legacy. Sending hugs to all of you! May Psalm 121 bring you much comfort and peace (Melinda shared that with me when Daddy was in ICU many years ago, and I still hold it dear.) -Stephen, Amy (Massey), Brandon, and John Davis Vessel
