Funeral services for Alpha Elizabeth O’Connor, 95, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday May 30, 2021 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home  with Bro. Don Delukie and Terry Ware officiating. Interment will follow at Rocky Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Elizabeth was born March 3, 1926 and passed away May 26, 2021. She graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1943 and then went on to Tri State Hospital in Shreveport, LA in 1947 and worked 2 years in public nursing and doctor’s offices. In 1975 she went to work as an occupational nurse at OlinKraft which changed to Manville, Riverwood and now Graphic Packaging and then retired in 2015. Her hobbies included, cooking, working puzzles, loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching birds and butterflies. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Milton “M A” Smith and Alpha “Tommie” Reppond Smith; husband William Garner O’Connor; sister-in-law Tommie Jean Smith.

Elizabeth is survived by her son Dennis O’Connor of West Monroe; daughter Allyson O’Connor Burford and husband Keith of West Monroe; grandson Dylan Burford and wife Lauren of West Monroe; granddaughters, Amanda Burford and Kaylee Burford of West Monroe; brother Milton Smith, Jr. of Rocky Branch, LA; special friends Ruth Parks and Connie Parks.

Pallbearers will be Phil Riley, Raymond Lewellyn, David Burdeaux, Tommy Lindsey, Steve Smith and Tim Saterfield.
