Funeral services for Alice Faye Buffington Barron, 74, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home Monroe. Rev. Butch Pilcher willofficiate. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home Monroe, LA.Mrs. Barron was born in Bonita, LA on November 20, 1941 and passed away on March 24, 2016. She graduated from Bastrop High School and became a cosmetologist, but spent most of her life as a homemaker. In her 40's she earned a degree and worked as an LPN until retiring in 2005.Mrs. Barron was a loving and devoted wife who truly loved her family and would do anything for them, shopping with her friends and always dressed up and had on her bling.She wasalways on the “go” and ready for an adventure.Mrs. Barronwas filled with love and kindness and knew how to enjoy life. She loved to laugh and always had a joke or funny story to share.Mrs. Barron raised her family in church and over the years became a true woman of God, faithful to her church family with a great desire to spread the love of Jesus. Shewas preceded in death by her husband, Larry C. Barron; two brothers, Tommy Buffington and Jerry Buffington.Mrs. Barron is survived byson, Bruce Barron; daughter, Donna Blann and her husband Mark; 4 grandchildren, David Batson and wife Kati of Conway, Ar, Melissa Perkins and husband Justin of West Monroe, Candice Nobriga and husband Dominic of West Monroe, and Steven Blann and wife Britny of West Monroe;and 4 great-grandchildren, Ava Nobriga, Judah Perkins, Annalise Perkins, and David PerkinsPallbearers will be David Batson, Steven Blann, Dominic Nobriga, Mark Blann, Jason Buffington, and Tommy Doughty.Visitation will be held Monday, March 28, 2016 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Monroe.In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Melissa's Hope, 109 Wolf Lair Drive, West Monroe, LA 71292 or www.tinyurl.com/melissahope or https://www.facebook.com/melissaperkinshope/
