Funeral services for Acle Thornell McMillian, 88, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, April 19, 2012 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel West Monroe with Don Hawkins officiating. Interment follows at Community of Christ Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe. Mrs. McMillian was born April 28, 1923 in Eros, LA and passed away April 16, 2012 in Monroe, LA. She was a long time resident of West Monroe and she was a retired licensed practical nurse. Mrs. McMillian was a member of The Community of Christ. She was preceded in death by a son, Enos Wayne Blazier; daughter, Alex Leak; and brother, Enos Thornell. She is survived by a son, John D. McMillian and wife Sue; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Rena Bessie Jarvis; step-brother; James E. Thornell and several nieces and nephews. Visitation is Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

You are gone but I have so many memories that will be with me forever. We each must pass this way, but while we are here if we are lucky we will share good times and make memories. So here are a few of the things I remember about time spent with you. How you got us to drink our milk by calling it TIGER MILK! A huge sunked bathtub that we could swim in. My first time in an airplane and you were the pilot, and the huge dive you made to give us a good scare. There are so many memories and over time when I think of you I will think of those times together. I will miss you so much. Laura
